Malaga Airport (AGP)
Travel and Ground Transport
Malaga Airport (AGP) has a highly efficient ground transport infrastructure and there are a wide variety of convenient transfer options to Malaga city centre and other resorts along the Costa del Sol.
Passengers landing at the airport can choose between buses, shuttle buses, free hotel shuttles, taxis and trains.
Public bus number 19 runs between the airport and Malaga, and it leaves every 30 minutes from outside the International Arrivals area. A bus service from the airport to Marbella also operates every 45 minutes.
A tourist shuttle bus service to Malaga runs twice hourly, with departures on the hour and at half past the hour from outside the International Arrivals area.
As the Costa del Sol is such a massively popular tourist area, most of the big resorts hotels offer shuttle services of some description from the airport to their establishments. Travellers are advised to check the availability of these services at the time of booking their hotel room.
There is a train station situated opposite Terminal 2 which operates services to Malaga, Torremolinos and Fuengirola at 30-minute intervals. Trains to Malaga begin at 07:03 and conclude at 23:45.
Taxis can be hired from outside Terminal 1 Arrivals and Terminal 2 Departures, with services running to Malaga, Torremolinos, Fuengirola and other Costa del Sol destinations.
Limousines Miramar (tel: +34 902 500 840) and Blai Limousines (tel: +34 933 034 334) offer limousine pick-up services at Malaga Airport (AGP) by prior arrangement.
